Tire changes

Just got a completely restored D90 and starting to learn about her as I go. What is the best way to remove the lug nut covers? Thanks and I'll be on here a lot trying to learn how best to enjoy my favorite vehicle in the world.

You aren't supposed to remove them. 27mm socket to take the lug nuts off, covers and all. If they are loose, might try a 1 1/8 inch socket.

Ditch those covered lug nuts.
Call Will Tillery and order #ANR2763 lugs for Defender.
The proper lug nuts for a Defender.

Aren't those covered too? I thought only the old RRC lug nuts had no covers.

For real? Never heard that. I feel like the capped nuts I have for my alloys would look reallllllllly stupid with my steel wheels.

True statements...tapered nuts seat into the steel wheel; flat nuts mate with the alloy...

BTW, OP what wheels are on your Defender? Post pics!
