I put in new bushings and used the same coin-edge bolts that Chris did. I got them from McMaster and they rusted immediately. I didn't have my powder coat job done as glossy as Chris, mine is much more matte.

The guy had an awful time removing the plastic, the job got a B, and if mine wasn't rusting out, i probably wouldn't do it. That said, the spare tire holder came out much better than the 3rd brake light. That still looks rough.

Thanks everybody. I am actually not doing mine right this second. I am helping someone else do theirs. We got the bushings out last night with ease. I used a punch and a hammer and they came right out. The powder coater understood what was needed and it should come out nice. I ended up tossing in the feet of my diagonals as I have extreme OCD. Will post pics or have the owner post some once it all comes back.

Why not just carpet the tire carrier? Your truck looks good but I agree the bolts suck. I am looking into a company making the original style in stainless. Will keep everyone posted when I have 500 sets and no one wants them.
Are there shocks that I can addjust up and down like my friends LX460? That would be very cool!
