Tinting Sliding Window Tops

forum and google search revealed NOTHING.

Has anyone tinted the front windows of their ST defender?

How will the sliding affect the tint?

Would love to hear what people have done.

I did it on my NAS truck. Zero issues and no reason not to do it.

The glass panels don't touch when sliding, so I can't imagine there being any issue with that..

Did you take it to a shop and have them do it for you?

Were your glass pieces out of the frames when you had it done?

the rubber slider on the end of the glass and the grabhole on the outer glass are what concern me.

Any pics of your windows with the tint?

The PO did this to my truck. I removed it, when the windows were slid open, the tint doubled up making it too dark to see through.

James,
A shop did it with the glass installed. In central Arizona it is a necessity.

What % tint do people recommend for their front and rear windows? I was thinking about doing 50% in the front and 35% in the rear window

Typically you go darker in the back and lighter up front. Some places have laws defining what you can and can't do.
