Timing belt and adjuster for 2.5NAD Defender 110

So I bought a 93' Defender 110 SW with a 2.5 N/A Diesel.

As the previous owner didn't have any record of a timing belt change, I went and bought a Dayco belt with tensioner and oil seals from Britpart.

Nothing has been installed yet but now I read online that Britpart good are crap.

Should I return the Britpart goods and get another brand?

Pls help.

Imo, Critical internal parts go genuine. If they fail then there's no finger pointing or drama re spilt milk. Just fix it again and enjoy your rig.

If I were going in for a stint and the doctor brought Brit Part stints for the surgery I'd be disappointed.

It would be like using a Lucas alternator on the generator that supplies back-up power to regulate reactor core temps at Three Mile Island....

The Dayco belt should be fine.

AllMakes has an option of getting "premium" products. With 2 Year warranty.... It's called PR2

Thanks Guys.
Will use a LR Genuine adjuster. Like you guys said, no point in taking a risk with Britpart on engine components.

So I checked around and nobody in Sri Lanka has genuine LR adjuster for 12J. They all have Britpart or Bearmach.

Do anyone have any experience with Bearmach adjuster / tensioner?
