Is the Tickford meant to utilize the extra support bar in the middle?

From what I can tell yes, there are two cloth pieces on the interior of the top that protect the support bar from the plastic alpine window, cut specifically for the diameter of the bar. And there is a velcro wrap that attaches to the bar too.

Matt

The top really looks great! That's what I love about the 94's. Nice Tickfords are almost like unicorns now. I'm glad you bought it from me and it's on a Arles ST. I hope you enjoy the tonneau cover as well during the summer months.

Gery

What is the metal bar that you bought made of? You don't want to rust stain that top you just bought.

Zinc plated metal bar that is extra wrapped for protection. Not a permanent fix but Defender is stored indoors and never in rain.

Thanks for the compliments.
