Throw out or input shaft bearing?

Or something else? Just got back from a trip to the Panamints and the truck drove like a champ, as usual. Pulled up to the gas station in Mojave and when I came to a stop in idle out of gear it sounds like a midget with a ball banging away under my feet keeping time with the motor. I didnt drive back through Trona so I didnt pick up any trolls. Only hear the sound when I sit at idle.

If it sounds like small rocks in a coffee can, it is your cat(s). Down on power, even slightly?

The knocking goes away. Engages into first gear easily, maybe a little noisy driving from a stop but not knocking noisy, just kind of a louder gear noise than normal.

It could be, I was under the truck before the trip hitting all the grease fittings and thinking I have been neglecting normal up keep. I will look into that. I appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.
