Throttle issues

So this morning I start the truck to take it into town to get plants for my yard. Loaded up the kids the truck started fine. Rolled backwards out of the drive way then noticed the gas peddle does not work it's not stuck it just does not do anything when pressed. Truck went into reverse fine and into first gear fine. And lucky for me it's made it back up the hill into my drive way by just letting the clutch out half way. And the check engine light is on. Could this be a throttle assembly issue?

What kind of motor Beatrix?

With the motor off, just have someone push down a few times on the gas pedal while you're looking at the motor to see if the cable/springy thing moves.

Tell us what you find.

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to see what I can find. I'm going to have to wait till my father in law can help me push it into the garage.

Which engine? Last thing you'd want is a linkage issue that let's you open the throttle and then have it not close.....
