Those of you with stuff in front of radiator...

Like the SG bumper with the three lights or anything else stuck in there. Did you notice a difference in cooling? Any change at all?

Thanks

Actually, no. Cooling issues seem to occur when the there are flow issues in the radiatior or when the viscous fan has issues. But I only suffer through 110 degrees days in summer

did have problems in my 109 using the stock raidator with a larger engine. everything was fine unitl I bolted up the big upright warn winch.

problem was no fan shroad and the fan center sitting too low on the radiator.

fitted a flex a lite black magic fan with built in shroud and all is well again.

My 8274 makes a difference. With the cover on, it can get hot pulling a trailer.

I have the SG brush bar and 3 4000's and I have not had any issues. I do have the Flex-i-lite 220's too.

My lights don't really make a difference but when I removed the AC condenser from in front of the radiator that made a big difference.

Interestingly I removed my fan today and saw no difference in temps but I could definitely feel a bump in Hp. I have a Rockware 8274 bumper at the galvanizers and a series bumper on there now with no winch. I am very curious to see any difference when I put the Rockware and 8274 back on. I may get an electric fan now after seeing the difference in hp. Just have to find out what fan works well with a series III radiator.

I've got a Rockware with 3 big-ass PIAAs and no issues cooling. The summer before last I was having some trouble with engine temps creeping up. The temp seemed to be worse when i was barely moving (or just moving slowly) and had the AC on; so I took the lights off. Not having the lights did not fix the problem. I finally fixed it by replacing the viscous fan unit, and then put the lights back on. No problems since ::knock on wood::
