thinking of buying 200 tdi Defender

I know the 200 tdi is a good engine, I had one in a 110 years ago, but I have heard that parts are getting harder to source. Is this true? Should I hold out for a 300 tdi due to parts availability. Also, I need A/C can A/C be easily added to a 200 tdi Defendr sourced engine? I assume it can be done on a Discovery engine because it has the mounting holes on the front cover case, but the Defender front cover looks different.

thx

Well I am trying to catch up. so far 7 Disco's to 3 Defenders. with 3 RR's and 2 Series trucks as outliers.

Anyway can anyone shed light on the questions first posed? all the 200tdi owners must have some opnions and wisdom, lets share.

they were made and sold in Austrailia. The ONLY set of defender 200 tdi a/c mounts I have seen in the states I had in my possesion for 5 months and never got them copied. I sent them back to Bozman whom I'm guessing sent them on to whomever bought his truck. Pretty simple two cast parts>
