Jonesy - Don't know if you already know this, but Paul (BCCD) is now with Arlington Motorcar Service ( Tyson's Corner, VA ) alongside of Carlos.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned AMS yet, so I'll gladly sing their praises. They do allow you to bring your own parts and they are the only authorized ARB dealer in the NoVA area. Next closest ARB dealer is in Richmond, I think.

Carlos and co helped bring my RRC back to street legal status and he's currently dealing with my headlamp shortcircuit headache.

I second AMS and Carlos. Also have had stellar experiences with International British in Chevy Chase/Dean Kruuse.

I believe this is my first post here, so hopefully this doesn't seem like I'm soliciting haha!

Anyway, a good mechanic that I take my P38 to whenever I'm in trouble can be found at Westminster Motors. The gentleman's name is Avo, and it's his shop. He is a trained LR mechanic, and his shop specializes in LR's and Jag's. He's a good guy and he'll help you out when you need it. Admittedly, you might be able to find a cheaper garage somewhere in the GTA, although his prices are significantly lower than what you might find at a LR garage, and he's a straight shooter who won't try to take you for a ride.

Their website can be found here: http://www.westminstermotors.ca/

Hopefully that's helpful. Let me know if you find any other reputable places in the GTA as well!

- John

Because there are only a few hundred of them. Nice to know which are still on the road.

Any thoughts in the Knoxville TN area? Previously used European Auto Garage, but their Rover guy is leaving this week. Excellent service in the past.

I Live in Norman, OK and here's my recommendation

If I really need something FIXED on my Defender, I trailer it to Albequerque, NM to Rob Dassler's SWR Automotive (505) 872-7818. I've done it twice. Rob is a pro and he has credentials for working on Rovers. What he fixes, builds, or rebuilds is done right from the git-go. So, that's about 8-9 hours one way (including eating, other stops) and its every bit worth the trip.

Hello

Anyone know of a good diesel mechanic in the Houston area? I have a 300tdi d90. As far as I can tell "the Rover Shoppe " in houston no longer exists.

Thanks
Rene

I've been using EuroCar Werks in Bellaire for the repair work in my D90. I just had a conversation with them over their diesel capabilities as I was thinking about a diesel 110. They said they work on 200 & 300 tdi' for Rovers and newer diesel engines for other brands. Call Marcus and have a chat. (713) 661-6428
My trucks there presently:-(

Guys,

I just bout a 95 D90 a couple weeks ago. It is in good condition and runs well but I am looking to find a shop /mechanic that could give it a slight tune up/ do an inspection and help me get the engine cleaned up. Anyone know of a good mechanic in AL, TN or GA? I am located in Northwest Alabama so the closer the better.

Thanks
