You can always run it up fairly easily with anything that can produce a pulse input.

I have no issue with changing stuff out on my truck, but would really prefer to keep the mileage accurate and true. A buddy of mine thinks I'm crazy for fixing it on a vehicle that is over 10 years old and therefore can be TMU. I will chime back in once I get it back next week.

Think I'm going to do this this weekend. I agree with sticking with original especially for the mileage.

They're called North Hollywood Speedometer in California. I was local and they did it for me same-day for $160. They will swap out the display (it's actually the body casing with the display imbedded inside), double-check calibration/functionality etc and ship it back to you. They won't sell the display casing separately, but I can understand that they would want to know the job was done once and correctly.

Ask for Kevin or Patrick. Here is their contact information and a link to a few customer reviews on Yelp.com
My display has been perfect ever since! Great shop, great guys and great service. Hope this helps!

Best,

Almost forgot,

Because they are only replacing the display, your odometer reading stays in tact.
Paul,
Thanks again for helping out with this one bud.. ;-) Looks like my ODO is getting shipped out tomorrow!

PS> The window channel kit ROCKS! Amazing solution to such an annoying problem! LOL

Kevin just called me and is getting everything all fixed. Solid guy. He did tell me that he is using the last display kit on mine and will be a bit before they get more. So if you are on the fence, I would wait till he has more kits.

Spoke to Kevin yesterday and he said parts are backordered but should be coming in soon, maybe end of next week.
