Terrafirma vs Britpart

Terrafirma (Allmakes UK) and Britpart seem to be the two major suppliers of aftermarket parts. Has anyone seen any QC issues with any of these parts? As good as Genuine (Granted some genuine parts are NLA and these outfits supply those substitutes) Apologies if this has been covered.

It depends on the part.

I wouldn't trust a Britpart electrical component. (It's worse than Lucas). But other stuff, I've had no issues with Britparts.

No issues with Allmakes/Terrafirma so far.

What are you looking to buy?

Without a doubt Allmakes runs circles around Britparts, however, I believe Britparts carries components that are not available with Allmakes ( like body panels ).

From what I've been able to tell from reports from others it really depends on the part from both Mfg.

Hi Bill, as has been said it depends on the part, however these days i will only fit genuine seals as i've had "issues" with other parts suppliers try googling "britpart problems".

I've had 25years experience of bearmach, britpart, etc and genuine is now my 1st choice although i buy them via bearmach as they give me trade prices and good service.

regards all
Gren

A lot of the Allmakes parts are OEM...most UK shops will know if you ask. Some of the Britpart parts are OEM but I had a few bad experiences with Britpart and now try to avoid their parts unless I know for a fact they are OEM.

I'd rather have neither as an option. Some of the TF stuff is good but some is just painful quality control

You all are scaring me. I just had to order a radiator from Rimmers and it turns out it was Britpart.
Since I needed exhaust, I ordered under the same shipment to keep shipping cost low. Also Britpart.
Less concerned about about the exhaust as I am about the radiator.

they probably don't manufacture their own radiators or exhausts...the junk quality parts are the ones they make
