My temperature gauge hasn't worked for a couple of months. When it has worked in the past, it has only shown moderate changes at best.
I went up a monster hill to a friends house in low gear and when I got to the top I was spewing coolant onto their driveway. Not really sure if I was officially overheated, but it was obviously very hot.
Would this be happening because of a bad gauge or bad thermostat? The overheating itself is probably an entirely different topic. I went up to their house before without any problems though. It would be nice to have a gauge that actually shows a number instead of the vague cool to hot scale.
Fwiw this is the 2.25 diesel we are talking about
Thanks
