Thanks for the feedback guys. Are all resonators the same? Meaning they aren't diesel or gas specific? I saw some that were diesel in the description and others that say nothing about application. I haven't run it down the highway yet. I hope to tomorrow night. That should give me an idea with just the decat pipe on.

FWIW, I ran a straight pipe to the rear silencer when I first had the truck, t hen did some upgrades and replaced the entire exhaust with what I thought was OEM, including the center muffler(added), but now notice that the center section is rusting at the connectors, so I'm going back to a straight pipe.
I'm hoping that helps the turbo spool better with improved flow.
As far as noise, the difference is negligible having run both systems.

Turbo kills most of the harsh exhaust noise Jeffe. No muffler simply lets the turbo spool faster.

You do seem to a little bitchy today.

I ended up going with a muffler. It's pretty nice level of sound even with no top on. Muffler guy crossed the pipe over the bump stop....so it goes back to get that changed. Lots of waves in town yesterday, it hasn't really been on the streets in 2.5 yrs. and rolling without a hood or grill gets attention I suppose.
