I had my truck off the road for about 8 months, and when I started driving it again, I had thought the pump was going out, sputtering, shuttting off.....was about to pull the tank when I checked the relay, turned out it was faulty.
I also have some oil in my harness, and sometimes my engine will just shut down completely. I just switch the key off and on quickly, and it starts back like nothing is wrong. I wiggled all the relays and fuses under the seat a while back and it stopped doing that for a while, now its starting back. Don't know if its the oil, the Dastek chip, or just a loose connection.

I had to go to a funeral about an hour's distance away this morning. The 130 drove like **** most of the time, and on the way home.... Terrible. Made the trek home though, unscathed.

Once I got home, disconnected the battery, took apart the ECU plug from the computer, cleaned both with electrical terminal cleaner, dried both with a blow dryer, and cleaned the terminals with a q-tip. Connected everything back together after drying, ran like a damn champ.

Ordering my injector harness tomorrow, along with a new fuel pump for preventative measures. When they arrive, I'm going to replace both myself. He limped.... But he limped all the way back to his garage.

Rovers are bad ***.

Glad to hear you identified the issue. I've had my TD5 for 4 years now. Awesome engine. Yeah, Rovers are a pain some times, but generally don't leave you stranded. If you haven't found it yet, check out lrseries.com for your TD5 parts. Mark
