Tariff code

This one seems to be the right one for all tdi engine parts: 8409.91.50

Like block parts? Or every part? I looked up the water pump and it uses a different code, 8413.30.9090

Seems like a catchall for any parts for compression ignition passenger vehicle engines of 2500cc or less:
"To be installed in vehicles of subheading 8701.20, or heading 8702, 8703 or 8704"
And if you look those engines up they say compression ignition 2500cc or less.
I have no clue whether you're supposed to separate the engine ancillaries but if you do they all still get 2.5%, so I guess the code is just for tracking purposes and not really a hard and fast set of rules.

Ahh I see what you mean. I don't believe you need separate ones for the ancillaries, but I do not have experience importing parts as a whole

It's just that Fedex sent me an email asking for ME to sort out some items I ordered (sorry Zack, that I'm not funding your lunch hour fishing trips this go round) from the UK. So this is just what I found for the tariff code.

Bill, I don't have any real experience in auto parts import but the company I work for imports/exports medical devices. We find Fedex takes anything within reason that you throw at them and historically things flow smoothly.
