Tail pipe replacement

The tail pipe on my D90 is rusted out and the local dealer wants $175 to replace it. They say it is mostly labor as the old pipe needs to be smelted off. I took a look and dont see any welds. The exhaust is stock so I am thinking they are full of s%*t. Has any one replaced their stock tailpipe and is it as easy as it looks?

Midas or any local muffler shop can make what ever you want for a fraction of the cost. New cats, dual exhaust's, snorkle exhaust, flowmasters, cherrybombs, glasspacks, whatever you can dream up for a fraction of what the dealer or AB wants.......IMOHO

Thanks for the replies. I did go to Midas and Meineke to see what they could do but both shops turned me away saying it was a dealer part. I was surprised that they didnt even offer to do a custom pipe.

Jimmy - what kind of condition is it in? what kind of $$ are you looking for ? I would be willing to come down and get it if thing work out.

So are you looking for me to take the whole exhaust or is it cool I just scavenge the tailpipe?

James Jimmy has from the Cat back pretty much, all you will need to do is unbolt yours and this will bolt right in, no cutting or welding.
