I think these are all you have to drill/tap to use an LT230 from a truck that originally came with a cable brake?

Too easy! My buddy is going to swing by tomorrow and pick it up Joel. He has your number.

I'll report on here how it works out!

Update: So I have Joel's 28D T-case now. Looks in good condition, recently rebuilt and everything is nice and tight. Just ordered a new input seal and thinking about the what other prep I need to do for this swap. Since this is coming out of a disco, it has more electronics than my 1.4. I can see it has an interlock solenoid. Can anyone tell me if that is something I can straight bolt off on swap with my t-case?

I also can see the oil temp sender and the neutral switch. I'm assuming I can remove those and replace with short bolts and washers for those from Home Depot to plug them up.

Remove the shift solenoid. You just unbolt it, remove the solenoid and put the cover back on, sealing the hole where the wire went through.

You will probably have to drill and tap a couple of holes to mount the parking brake bracket.

I would just leave the switches in. They will probably be a weird thread size.

No. it's the switch that sits on top next to the interlock. Not relevant for Defenders.

I think if the Tcase is in neutral accidentally, I't will become apparent pretty quick without the need for a light!
