Synthetic rope repair??

Snapped my line in two and would like to splice it back together- I have seen the little online guides but the diagrams don't make sense. I am sure I am missing something simple, but noone has taken the time to make a youtube guide yet... anyone here ever re-spliced one before?

I spliced in a safety thimbal but thats totally different than splicing two ends back together. This would make a great how to.

Not a video but the guides on this page describe it well enough IMO

except for the lock stiching thats essentially the same way I did the eye splice. Running the tail into the rope itself locks it like chinese finger cuffs
