Question Swivel Rebuild Question 88 LR90

Spent the (entire) weekend replacing swivels and front bearings. Big improvement in the road feel and steering. Much better than I expected.
New swivels are black Teflon coated. Look good. Paper gasket between the swivel and axle housing seemed pretty light duty. It was OEM specification. Anybody have any experience with these? Hate to think I did all this work only to start a new leak in a different location...

Paper gasket is what Rover puts there.

I use Right Stuff gasket maker.

Nothing wrong with a paper gasket there.

I used to be paranoid about them but they have never been a problem for me.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the note. Been checking for the past two days and so far they seem perfectly fine. I was pretty paranoid about getting to clean metal on both sides and ensuring no burrs between the joining plates, so maybe all is good.
