switch panel for carlington switches.

Does any one knows if there is a switch panel for carlington switches for the switches on the left side of the steering wheel. LHD. ( 3 switches).

I do not like the original switches and like to replace them with carlington ones.

Cheers Jeroen

If you mean where the hazard switch fits, the aperture is too small for Carlings to fit.

Not sure if a Carling switch will fit in there? Might be too tall?

MudUK do a switch panel and there are others out there as well.

Yes that is what i mend. I have one laying around i can try to fit it in. But i think the original switch frame is wider and narrower. The Mud one is taller, but smaller. I will check today to see if i can make it work.

Thanks for the info!

Where did you source panels and switches?

I got the panels & switch caps (with the legends on them) here : http://www.otrattw.com/index.php

And the switch bodies were from Digikey... only reason did that was OTRATTW didn't have enough in stock at the time.... and they were also a buck or so cheaper as I bought 10 of them, covered the additional shipping.

The hazard switch was from MUD UK..... it's the direct replacement for the LR one, OTRATTW does stock it (I think) but you'll need the correct part # as it's not obvious which one to use.

Similar set up to mine from the same places (MudUK and OTRATTW).

Looks like you may run into the same problem as me though Andy. That Hazard switch is designed to work the other way up. When you wire it up you cannot change the orientation of the (single) lamp. The lamp will be at the bottom and shine through the body of the rocker when lit up. It will flash when its activated, but nothing will shine through the lens.

I just live with it as its bright enough to light up the most of the rocker body and in the dash at night it’s obvious in a hurry which is the hazard switch if I need it.

Hi Andy,

Nice project. I have seen it on rover landers

Yep that is what i want just not sure if it will fit. I do not want to go with a MUD centre dash. Just replace the switches for carlingtons. The original ones are crap
