Swinging NAS Tire Carrier - fitted to an ROW Ninety?

Has anybody been through this? I've recently acquired what I believe is a original "swing with" tire carrier from a 95 NAS Defender. Upon initial inspection it appears that my right rear turn signal is inconveniently located right where the carrier hinge is meant to attach. I've been traveling and haven't had the time to really explore this, other than make a quick observation as my garage door was closing as I left for the airport....

I installed one a ST tire carrier on my SW, a few years ago. It is designed to be installed in the passenger side rear corner, with the backing plate right behind it. So, it will get in the way of the light. You can either sell it and buy a Mantec version or convert the back-end to resemble the NAS trucks. SafariRover (Stephen Peters) has made up a set rear body corner trim to cover the hole for the conversion.

Got home today and no fit w/o mod. All in all an annoying garage day.

Think I have a buyer, but if not, D90DRC can take it for my cost. I stripped it down to metal and plan to por-15 + UV top coat...or I can leave it as-is for you if you want to galvanize it....I'll PM if my guy doesn't need it anymore.
