Swapping Wheels

I have decided to replace the current 5-spoke alloy wheels on my '94 D-90 for black NATO tubeless steel wheels. Is this a NO hassel change or is there a problem lurking down the road?

One other thing, where can I purchase the lifters for the rear window of a D-90 hard top?

no problem on the swap with nato. basically the same backspacing and rim width (7"). The black on the natos are usually primer black. Paint the wheels & Keep steel wheel cleaned and lubed, especialy the vent holes.

Not sure what you mean by rear window lifter for the D90.. do you mean door window lifters?

RV shops I have found are a good source for lifters. Usually about $15.

there is something about them in the FAQ section. How much heavier is the NATO wheel than the aluminum stockers?

I made the mistake of mounting the steel natos from Spain without painting them first on my Series III. The black primer looks kinda faded and dirty now, although no rust thankfully.
