Any of you boaters out there have experience with: 3M Marine Black Adhesive Sealant 5200?

If I read it correctly that's for windshield installation. Way overkill and I bet ....messy.

I bought a used take off light and it definitely had black foam tape.

I've used lots of 3m 5200 and it's for bonding panels together. I used it to bond my fly casting deck on my flats boat. Worked perfectly but definitely not for this install.

It is great stuff to have around...for example to seal the outer seams on the defender roof....white not the black.

If you don't like the regular 3m trim tape this is the commercial version.

They only sell it in big rolls but this guy on eBay sells 5 pieces of 4" squares for cheap.

It's The VHB variant. very high bond.

That should definitely hold our little light.

Hope it helps.

Does the Ron Francis 4" LED brake light work with the Mantec interior window guards? I have them and want to install. Does anyone have pics of this setup?

What is the big difference between the 90 and the 110 3rd Brake Light? How does the 110 Light attach to the glass? It appears that the 90 glass uses double stick tape or glue. It was mentioned here that the 110 light is so much better then the 90. How so? Is it worth upgrading to the 110 lamp assembly?
Did you find a 3rd brake light that is compatible with the Mantec interior window guards? I would really like to go with an LED setup (but not just an LED bulb in the stock light).

Nice light, easy install of course.
Do you have a pic with the LED 3rd brake light installed? I am looking at going the same route. What made you choose the 4" vs the 10" light?

Thanks for the Ron Francis link. Bookmarked for later use in my build.
