Suspension question/advice

Hey guys I'm about to order a suspension kit for my ex-mod.pretty sure I know what I want but wanted to check with you guys. I'm looking at Rovers North's Terrafirma pro sport hd kit,and their return to center steering damper. Is this an okay set up?

My uses are light wheeling and currently no winch. Mostly wondering about the damper?

Thanks,
John

I can't see any point to a return to center damper beyond hiding problems in the front end.

As to the suspension, what are goals and why do you want to change from the stock suspension?

Just wanting to kinda update the truck and have come to suspension. I didn't understand the return to center either, just curious about that.

What is on the truck now is old, maybe original, and just figured that I'd change it so that I would know what I have.

I would go OME or even LR HD over TF. (having done all three...there is a reason I got rid of the TF after a year).

Have you considered a mild lift? Although there is some additional cost in going with a lift, it might be worth it if you're going with new springs.

Ex Mod trucks have fairly heavy duty springs which give a slight lift over standard. Stock woodhead shocks (the black ones) are pretty good units if not leaking or rusted out. Same goes for steering dampers.

IF IT AIN'T BROKE, don't fix it. If your shocks (or damper) are bad, just replace them. No need for any lift springs with 7.50x16.

Plenty more on an ex mod to upgrade before mucking about with the suspension. Seats for one.

I like my Terra Firma Pro Sport set up, but I have heard nothing but good about OME as well. On my last truck (an ExMoD 90) I had a Pro Comp 2" Standard Duty kit from RN and for what I used it for (a cooler of beer and some chicks) it worked really well.
