Surrey snaps not lining up

Installed my new surrey last night and the snaps on the surrey top don't line up with the snaps on the door bar. See the attached pics.

Your middle snap doesn't even line up? That's weird. Didn't you say it's LRNA71726 ? Your top has 4 snaps plus the header-bar snap, right? All of my tops that have had snaps had 4 snaps plus the header-bar snap and they all lined up with the 5-snap bar.

This was my old one, notice the 4 snaps plus header-bar snap:

I agree, that is strange. The part # from the instructions is LRNA71726. It has 5 snaps total (4 plus the header bar snap) The header bar snap lines up and snaps no problem. None of the others are even close.

I think a lot are like this. Mine is the same way. Sit it out in the sun and you may be able to stretch it to fit. My fingers were practically bleeding after getting mine on. Nothing on these trucks is easy. You won't need all the buttons. It will be fine with only a few.

My Jeep used to do that....you had to install it in the sunlight, on a hot day. Sounds ridiculous...but it worked.

You can always have the snaps removed and place them where they should be.

Resurrecting this thread because I bought Mark's surrey and this is now my problem. Can anyone recommend a good consumer level (i.e. cheap) snap tool that they have had used successfully with canvas/vinyl etc?

Thanks/

I used the hammer on snap tool you can get at hardware stores for my canvas top to replace snaps. I worked pretty well.
