Question sunroofs in 110s

Hey everyone,

This is Kara at LR Bedford in NH. My 110 knowledge is a little lacking today. Does anyone know if the NAS 1993 110s came with a factory or optional sunroof? Or are the sunroofs in them aftermarket after the owner decided that they must have more light? Thanks for your help! I need to go back to my Land Rover history book. This is slightly embarassing.

Kara,
The NAS 110's did not come with sun roofs.

This is a great topic. I want to install sunroofs for the mid row seats in my 110. I think one on each side, long ways. Need perfectly flat, manual non-electric that can be totally removed. Anyone have any suggestions?

WHat about the sunroos on 90 SW's? I know they open but I don't know hos removable they are. The hardest part is making it useable with the roof rack I think, otherwise cut a hole in it and install

Doug,
I happen to have a customers NAS110 in the shop at the moment and I am completely gutting the interior in preparation to have LineX sprayed into it. The placement of the roof stiffeners would make this impractical unless you find a really small sunroof or resupport the roof skin to make room for them. If you look at your roof and follow the line of spotwelds you will see where the roof stiffeners are and get an idea of how small an area you have to work with. Plexiglass or Lexan may be a more viable proposition.

Thanks Rob. I'll look it over this weekend. My rear seat riders often complain of no visibility back there, so thinking about solutions. A small removable sunroof might be really cool, next to the alpines.
