97's have a mechanical linkage, not a solenoid.

I like the solenoid myself. Supposedly you can change the mech linkage over. The Solenoid gives a better lever feel IMHO, especially when it engages.

Really? I just deleted the solenoid on the Disco....gotta remember not to try and shift it when its in gear though ... It seems to shift more easily without it.

thanks for that fellas...

one important question that is gnawing at me.....

do you think my FRAME is damaged???? Since she hit my front bumper bar......is this attatched right onto the frame?? causing frame damage????

please say no. =(

You said it was driveable right? Did it pull to one side at all? or steer funy? Does it look bent? Can you post a pic, or e-mail it to me and I"ll post it for ya, these things are hard to tell.

no.....doesn't pull.......steering feels the same....no strange sound......i think.....

i don't have my camera with me....the wife is on a business trip...

will post some as soon as i can....
