Stupid question

So I bought a cigarette lighter for my open port. Want the car stock. The lighter won't fit?? There is this white collar around the port..does this mean it won't take a lighter or did I get the wrong one? Thanks

That looks like an adapter. Pull it off, or twist then remove

Yeah- that's not stock. Someone might have tried to transform the UK cigar lighter into a US cigarette lighter.

Exactly. If that white plastic doesn't come off, you've got the wrong one.

Good call pulled white piece out and cig lighter slides right in. Now the port is loose so I need to pull it out and See if I can make it tighter. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks as usual my friends.

This adapter is used to make my car charger stay out!!
