Strange noise from driver side front tire/axle?

Hello all,

I have a 94 D90 with about 85000 miles on it. Just today I started hearing a weird noise from the driver side front tire/axle... It is kind of a grinding but everything ran fine. I thought it was initially the brakes but it stopped after a bit.

Then it restarted... Then quit again.

Any ideas without more evaluation?

Thanks,
John

They are cheap and it's a reasonably good chance they are at fault. If you don't know when they were last done you might as well change them!
