Straight exhaust 19J motor?

Anyone run a straight exhaust, no muffler on a Defender with a 19JTD motor?
The reason I ask, is I need to replace the pipe from the muffler back. I have a Dodge pickup with a 24V Cummins Turbo Diesel. a while back I replace the exhaust system with a straight pipe, no muffler. I noticed considerable less EGT and what felt like a increase in power.
Wondering if I would get the same result if I straight piped the Defender 90.
Thanks for input and suggestions.

Lots of people run straight pipes. It won't affect power from my testing.

I run a turn down after the down pipe, it dumps right under the truck. No issues in 7 years

In my testing a straight pipe made a difference on my truck.

How loud is it? The turbo eats up most of the noise anyway, just curious how much difference a muffler makes on a turbo diesel.

Mine sounds fantastic with 2.5" straight pipes and I can certainly feel the difference in acceleration.

If I run a elbow somewhere around the middle of a 110, would fumes make it into the truck?

If running straight pipe at highway speed do you run a risk of getting that deep drone sound that plays havoc on the ears after awhile?
