Stone Guard.. who needs it??

Who here runs with out the stone guards? I have been thinking about taking these off for a while... any opinions.?
All they seem to do in the front is bend in to the brake roter, or get gunked up with mud and rocks and make bad noises.
I can see how ther rears protect from flying rocks on dirt tracks, but to the fronts really do anything?

just want some input.

thanks
steve

Not so fast... they work for me. When i oil chassis
after pressure wash, they keep oil away from braking
components.
