Stock Tire Carrier Bolt size

Does anyone know what the bolt size/thread count is for the stock tire carrier. I am looking for the one that connects the actual carrier to the mount.

Hi Joe, I'm buying a Safari Gard tire carrier from Vince today. The current plan is to install it Sunday afternoon. When I'm installing it I'll check out the bolts on the factory carrier and let you know.

I think they are some odd sized machined bolt but I might be wrong. Good luck....

In case you're still looking, the threads are the same as a metric m12x1.75. But the bolt is actually a hinge pin so it's probably a custom part. I think an M12x1.75 65mm bolt with a 15mm diameter x 50mm long sleeve would be a suitable replacement.

The shaft is 5/8" SAE and the threaded portion is Metric, forget what size. How's that for a bastard bolt?

The part below is the stainless steel replacement I used in our tire carriers. It uses a 1/2-13 nut on the end, but it otherwise identical.
