stock stereo trouble 95st

95 ST stock stereo.. using the proper code.
why is it that when I turn the stereo on Four bars appear and stereo wont work.

then when I hold down BND, code in appears, I code in and the four bars show back up.

if I hold BND while turning the stereo on the radio comes online but it beeps every 4 seconds and eventually shuts down after 3 minutes and the four bars show back up.

tried disconnecting everything, cannot solve the issue, I am using the proper code which has worked in the past.

thanks ,
Brent

Radio is toast. Happened to me recently and had to get a new radio. Try Roverville.us. They can fix it or you can purchase a replacement.

You can always spend a few bucks on a original when you sell the truck if it is important. A $99 radio is wayyyyyy better in the meantime.
