Stock Audio System

I'm still using my stock audio system but recently my radio is intermittent when it's very humid or raining. I know this sounds crazy. Also, volume fades and cracks up and can't be changed or adjusted using the volume knob at all. Anyone experience this?

I had it in to Roverville a few months ago becasue my LED display gave out but John says he thinks my antenna is not connected. I checked and it seems fine. Also doesn't explain why things work fine if its not humid or raining out.

Ditch it. Weather screwed with mine, but I got it wet a few times too. Unless you want everything 100% stock, I would get a new radio. I have a Marine Alpine Receiver and Marine Polk speakers. Sound is night and day.

For the antenna, make sure you check both connections. There is a short extension between the main cable from the antenna and the radio.

I just replaced my because of weird issues like that and the LCD was barely readable. Found out when I replaced it that water had been splashing through a hole in the tub. I replaced it with this one and I really like it. Even kinda looks like the stock radio a little. Still has weather band too.

So true. I have "listened" to my stereo a total of maybe 5 hours in the past 3 years. It's just more enjoyable to listen to the clatter of the diesel. I've been contemplating ditching mine...
