Question Sticky gas level float on NAS110

I remember putting a new level float a couple of years ago but now its happening again. I guess its because I don't drive it enough. Last night the light stayed on all evening, than this morning its off, than I just started it just now during lunch, and then it turned off after I hit the gas. Should I just swap it out again or is there a way to recondition the unit? Any help is appreciated.
