iPod/iPhone, Pandora, USB. Tony, you can even connect your 8-track tape player through an Aux jack!

May I recommend headphones with earbuds? Then do an install at your leisure on your home turf.

Here's my next route with a stereo...

All listed from Alpine, Pioneer to Sony are great. But for me the simplicity of the Fusion Marine is what makes it. And with the remote, you can hide the head unit (with iPod) & use the remote. Create a mount similar to what American Dirt Road has done for the remote.

Just throwing a new idea out! Plus, with all the buttons these days (why). Which really do not work and/or are not needed.

I would like an amp with a volume control and 1/8" jack so I can plug in an iPod etc. Don't need cd, fm or display. Simple and cheap I would think...but does it exist?

I second Charles, Brooksie. I don't even use the head unit in the Beastie anymore. I use a bluetooth stereo earbud headset for my Android.. all my tunes, FM radio, and blocked ambient noise.

Anyone with a 2.5, 200 or 300 tdi install one of these? I'm curious how well the apple device stays connected with the head unit with all the engine vibration?

I have a 200tdi. If it can handle a wave runner and a motorcycle I think a 200tdi will be fine.

I have a Fusion Marine stereo half installed (wired and working - just not mounted yet - it's going where the factory CD changer would be).

iPods fit snuggly inside as they have adapters for different types/versions of iPods/iPhones.

I bought this because of the wired remote with an actual volume knob - i'm in the middle of installing the remote on a gooseneck that will end up right in the "cut-out" in front/above of the fuse panel (I have a '97 SW with AC).

No issues with vibration - hit bumps/RR tracks, etc and all good.

Hope that helps.
