stamp number on back plate

who can stamp numbers in a right size on a back number plate?

You can.. get a set of number punches and ha hammer. THey were done quite crudely at the factory..

I've got to do this myself so I'll be interested in hearing how you manage. I was thinking of engraving mine because I'm a bit nervous about cracking it if I tried stamping. I guess the best thing to do would be to try some test stamping on scrap aluminum first.

There is no real way you could crack it by stamping that I could see provided you did it on a firm surface. We need to find a set of stamps and do a pay it forward thing.

From what I understand, they were stamped here in the US, at the port.

That would make sense because the Japanese D90s that are similar to the US ones have a different stamping numbers (ie a different die set) per the ECR website.
