Stainless Steel Hardware for D90

Picked up a hardware set for my 94 D90. Anyone have any pros or cons before I start replacing old hardware??
Thanks

Lubricate the heck out of them with anti - seize and pray they don't gall.

Yup. And have a pair of locking vise grips, preferably regular size plier type and needle nose.

Some people like SS hardware for the doors because the genuine stuff from the 90s rusted. Having used SS on my 110 rebuild I am not a fan and would never do so again. IMO the rust issue is much easier to prevent (at least in my climate) than the SS galling issue. With new genuine hardware (that is supposedly more resistant to rust) and plenty of Anti-sieze you will be able to replace hardware down the road. However, if a SS fastener galls then you are up the creek.

I like it. I've been swapping out hardware on my 90 with stainless as I go. But definitely use anti seize.
