ST 3rd brake light part #s

Does anyone have part numbers for the lens and plastic top cover? My lens is cracked and the cover warped. Also, if someone has these items to sell please let me know. Thanks.

hmmm...yeah, they are funny looking because they are actually a message in code, and not part numbers at all.

Yup, do need 'em for the 110, and yes I'm ready for Uwharrie! (this time with tdi and power steering. I love the tdi, but I'm just crazy about power steering) Now how 'bout some part numbers?

OK, according to my '97 LR original parts book, the 3rd brake light lamp set for a ST is on Fiche#3, page C15, item#2. The part # is STC1631 Discription: Lamp high level stop Note. Complete with bulbs and cable.

There is no break down of indivdual parts for the ST. There is a complete parts break down for the lamp on the SW, but it's a completly different animal.

How tough are the state inspectors on these lights? Will they notice that I don't have one at all? I took mine off for the tire carrier rebuild and haven't put it back on. I like the truck better without it. That piece of crap was always getting in the way.

I suspect they would not even notice. Some people like them though, and some might even be crazy enough to put one on a trailer, but I have no idea who would be that stupid...

Has anyone used Joels heat gun trick to try and soften one of these up and get it back to its original shape ?

No help if they are cracked and/or otherwise broken though. I'm going to get one of there (003-75) and see how it looks.

In my case I will be making a new base plate so I'm not worried about the exact dimensions but I'll let you guys know how it fits on a stock plate.

part STC1631 on back order everywhere, with no date for release. At least in England.
Any idea for replacement?
