Squirting the D90

My Defender has a 2002 disco engine in it being fired by a 14cu ecu. Its probably the only one in the world cobbled together with the older version of the ecu that came with the truck (87). The ecu was remapped at some point prior to my purchase.

Intermittently it will bog down and buck, then next time I drive it no issues at all. Prior owner did a swap from original engine to this bigger V* thinking the power issue was that, but there was hardly a change, if anything I bet it was worse.

Are there American companies that cell the kits a member has used or is megasquirt UK the only show in town?

Thanks for any headsup.

Vincent

MS UK is the only supplier I know off that has LR specific kits & the support from them & the UK forum is invaluable.

Nige is a great guy and knows his stuff, I was just hoping something this side of the pond was an option but if not it will work.

Thanks for the reply.

Probably something simple and stupid like the TPS sensor.

What the hell I will try to replace it. The truck drives don't get me wrong, I just got back from the Black hills for a week, its just in LOW rpms it really bucks at times.

Agreed you are going to open a huge can of worms trying to replace the entire EFI system without understanding what is causing your issue first.
