Had a d90 with a loud high pitched squeak. Couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from inside the car. Turned out to be the doortop rubbing on the hardtop.

Worth a look if you have a glass ht or st with gutter kit

I have the soft top with the gutterkit. You think it could be the doortop rubbing the door seal?

Thanks to Nikojo I have solved the squeak that over the last 5 years has gotten worse and driven me to the point where I never wanted to drive the truck. It was the hood plastic bushings. I just lubed them up and the noise is gone. I am shocked. When he told me I said no fucking way. I just greased it up and the noise is gone. I'm not sure if bushings are worn but I have a new set I will swap in when I have time. Right now the grease is on and now I can obsess on why my exhaust rattles at 2000 rpm.

If it's a Borla, I have the same deal. There seems to be a resonance at 2000 rpm and it buzzes.

Yes borla. I removed my exhaust and y pipe to put in my new clutch. I replaced the gaskets, and the rubber exhaust hangers. Now of course it rattles. It sounds like a heat shield rattling.

Take a pic o that bushing. I oils swear I heard the same shit in my truck tonight, but it sounded like the rear tire carrier to me. The sound bounced around a little though.

Its a little piece of plastic. Check the RN site. I swore it was my tire carrier for a long time then the seats, then the dash and it was the stupid hood. Drove a bunch tonight and not a single squeak.

I thought that might be the source on mine. So I ordered them plus two more bonnet parts from RN. Attached are the part #'s and prices. We'll see next week if anything works.

Oh man. I have had the same squeak for the past 4 years and purchased those bushing a week ago and have not yet installed them. I also replaced all of the tire carrier rubber and bushings and lubed up the passenger seat.... i hope it is those bushing for me too.

Holy shit I have been going crazy trying to find this squeek for months. It sounds just like that, it sounds like it coming from inside the dash below steering wheel by fuse box kinda, I took apart the entire upper dash drove around, still there. I thought it was the vents, lubed it all up, still there. It sounds just like that around clip. I need to check this out

Edit - Just greased them up, went for a rough ride with the lady. Not a peep. I feel like I just won the Defender lottery.
