Spring replacement

Anyone have a trick for getting the shock towers to line up with the holes for the retaining bolts? Gas shock is pushing things apart and generally annoying me. Another set of hands would be great, but not available...
Thanks,
-Gardner

jack the truck up so that the axle drops-pulls shock downward

I put jackstands under the frame and then I use the bottle jack - first to spread the axle and then to raise the axle up to the new spring.

Thanks

I think Ron gets the prize here. Plenty of drop to the axle from jacking; the shock, fully extended, (gas charged, so it does that naturally) is long enough that I need something to compress it while I'm trying to line up the retaining bolts. So, I'll try that. Thanks guys!

exactamundo. Going with OME 761 & 758/764. Curious to see if there's any real difference. I may keep the Terrafirmas for Moab in October. If not, there'll be a post here
