Speedo Gear Drive

I recently swapped the engine in my '86 D110 with LT85/LT230 to a NAS 3.9L, which required the installation of a VSS and new lower speedo cable.

My speedo and VSS have not worked since, and I traced the problem to the new lower speedo cable and speedo gear drive in the LT230, not matching up in size, and thus not meshing together, because the cable has a smaller square profile than the gear drive.

Is there a speedo gear drive with a smaller square profile that would mesh with the new lower speedo cable, or is there a lower speedo cable with the larger square profile that would match up with the gear drive?

You can keep your old speedo cable and mount the RSS up on the bulkhead, then run a second short cable to the speedometer in the dash.
The RSS has a cap on the other end that covers a threaded connection for just this type of setup. I forget the exact part number but there is a short speedo cable like that for RRCs, except it goes down below at the transfer case (Borg Warner) That can be your speedo drive if you don't want to have the Gaugeguys.com make you a custom one.

Just wrap same foil tape around the square end of the cable.

Unfortunately not an option, as the original cable is trash, and I've already bought the other cables.

After talking to a few people earlier today, I've determined that I need a new gear drive out of a NAS LT230, and that part number is: FTC2848.

Can someone please confirm that this is indeed the right part? I'm also replacing the gear drive housing (P/N: FRC3286) and seals.
