Hi James

Did you buy component 6 1/2" speakers ?

Would you have any more pics of your system ?

Looks like a perfect setup.

Thank you.

Campbell:

To bad JL doesn't offer these for the 6 1/2 .....

Billet aluminum.....and I would imagine offer better protection. Maybe one of our fourmite fab gurus could make something up....it seems like the JL Audios are the favorite.

Anybody have any pictures of how the wires are run from the door to the body?

Also was wondering if any of the screws go into metal? or are the just attached to the door panel.

Tom, You will need the little rubber tube that goes between the door and bulkhead. You can see it in one of the pic's I posted ^^^

Screws go into the card. There is a little clip nut that goes over the card where the screws hit.

I purchased new ones from RN. They weren't very expensive. RN had the new speaker wire pig tail with the factory end that attaches to the harness inside the bulkhead too. I could hunt down the PN tomorrow if you need.

Tom,

You have a TD5 style bulkhead and doors correct? If you find the proper rubber part that goes between the door and bulkhead let me know the part number and where since I also need that part

FYI. The LaSalle door cards are fiberglass and have a raised section specifically for speakers to be mounted.

I could have sworn I saw someone either made (or had them made) out of aluminum. They were pretty nice!

I am going to keep searching, I have a message out to Justin to see if one of his super secret sources has some kind of aftermarket set up.
