Spark Plugs?? Please help.

While digging through the garage I came across a brand new/never used set of Bosch Platinum spark plugs. Plug number WR9DP.

Will these work for a 1997 D90 NAS 4.0? All research I've done says they work for 3.9 disco and 4.0 d90. Thanks!!

Oops!! There's a typo above! The research I've done says they fit 3.9 disco and 4.0 RR. No evidence they will work on 4.0 NAS D90

Not sure. But I can't tell you how many times I've told people to stick with champion plugs and oem wires for our Defenders.

those are specified in the workshop manual. these engines are finicky as it is, so if you've got an oem setup then stay with what's outlined in the manual:

Champion RN11YCC

"incorrect grade of plugs may lead to piston overheating and engine failure."

So use above, apply anti-seize, torque to 15 lbs/ft, route wires correctly to avoid cross-firing, have a beer.

In all the rovers I have owned, all ways used the cheapest copper champion plugs with the best wires you can find.
These engines run just as good with a 1.50 dollar a plug agaist a 8 dollar a plug, just change every inspection time.

That's my 2 pence worth

Champion or AutoLite coppers gapped to .050, with 8mm Kingsbourne wires.

why the wider gap? 0.035 to 0.040 is to spec in the manual. aren't you running a higher risk of misfirings?
