spare wheel carrier

I am planning on replacing my current British Pacific fold-out spare wheel carrier/gas can holder with a Mantec swing away.

Replacement is due to weight, noise and overall size. I want a cleaner, closer to the body look.

Anyone have an opinion on the Mantec?

Also, I have a Badger top and am concerned about the Mantec mounting in the correct position (outboard) to fit in the notch on the Badger. Any views on mounting location?

Many thanks.

I looked hard at the Mantec, but couldn't see 2x the cost of the Bearmach unit. In the end, I purchased the Bearmach unit from DAP and it's been great!

I have the Mantec, works really fine. You can improve it with simple
modifications, changing the hardware to stainless steel, including
retaining plates (mostly m12 bolts) and a couple of grease fitting
nipple on the hinges, then you will have something almost unbreakable .
