spare tire wobbly

Just put the spare tire back on the tire carrier and it's wobbly. I think I'm missing something as I have the lug nuts as tight as they will go. Is there something that goes behind the tire that I am missing?

hmmm, I seem to remember some nuts with large washers that the tire sits against

hmmm- sounds like those may be with my lug nuts that I couldn't find...

Will have to go searching in the garage.

Thanks for the reminder!

Yes, you are missing the threaded washers...they are about 3/16ths thick.

A good alternative to the threaded washers are the big washers that are used on the rear upper shock mount. Anyone that has changed shocks usually has some in the stash, plus they are big, heavy, and fit perfectly.

SW or ST? both should have a nut then a washer on each of the studs, then the wheel, then the regular lug nuts.
