My hood will carry one but it just obscures forward viibility too much off road - cresting steep inclines is downright scarey. It looks good and if you need to carry two spares fine - thing is the posts look odd without a wheel, though I have used them for wrapping tow straps etcs. I hope if LR make a new defender that the spare can be fitted on the hood, but with a bigger recess so it doesnt block the view, while still retaining the safari look.

The wheel also (even) further reduces air flow through the vents by the way.
