Source for Stainless Steel Window Studs and Window Quick Nut Fasteners (D90)

I'm looking for the stainless steel window studs for my D90 and see that in the past there were some members that were sourcing/selling them.
I'm not sure how much I should expect to pay for them, but did find them at British Atlantic / British Pacific for $108.

http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9784.cfm

Even if this is a reasonable price I would like to get the corresponding quick nut doortop fastener set but it's currently listed as being out of stock. They're $80 for a set of 4.

http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9788.cfm

Any guidance on what's a good price and source for either or both of these items woudl be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately no -- I was a bit surprised not a single person chimed in. If you find a source let me know and I will do the same.

They have cornered the market. There were a few others making them, but that was years ago.

Thanks -- they appear to be in business still -- here's a link to their soft top window studs. Is it safe to say you're happy with yours?

I really like the idea of having those quick release nuts in my first post -- but haven't seen those anywhere else (and like I said they're out of stock).

I bought the ss studs from Gulf Coast Rovers and the quicknuts from Rovers North about a year ago. I'm pretty sure I saw the quicknuts advertised by AB recently. Hope that helps.

Yeah prob right. Funny how we all try and be financially responsible and save $30 on accessories after draining $40,000 on a totally impractical twenty year old gas guzzler.

Thanks guys.

Phil: Are these the quick nuts you bought?
http://landroverparts.roversnorth.co...ET-OF-4&key=it

If so I assume there were no fit problems going with 2 different aftermarket parts. I haven't found anywhere else that sells the speednuts, so that's my only choice -- $60.

As for the studs, I could buy those cadmium plated ones at Rovers North $56 or .....

The alternative is stainless steel for $90 at Gulf coast or Atlantic British for $108.

Nathan -- I thought about buying it all from AB, but as noted above their speed nuts are out of stock (and my question about when they'll be back in stock hasn't been answered).

Bottom line is I think I'm going to go cadmium and speednuts from Rovers North (and they confirmed what I already believed to be true -- you no longer need the spacer tubes). I think stainless is good, but cadmium should be fine especially where I'm going to be removing the windows seasonally.
Thanks again for all of your input above.

By the way after some trial and error I found the exact socket that's 1) long enough to grab the stud/nut through the plastic door holes, yet 2) short enough to not be restricted by the bulge near the door handle. I've been getting my window top on and off easily with this. Just keep this socket below and a stubby 1/2 ratchet in the truck. Easy peasy. Can't be much slower than the quick nuts. Certainly cheaper. See below image. Available at Home Depot. Get this exact one. Click image for larger version

Are the studs for older 90s different than the studs for the NAS soft tops? Or more importantly will the newer studs work in my old ex-MOD?

My stud don't have any of the taper that's on the studs I've seen linked on this thread.

When did RN come out with that option? When I purchased ~ 6 years ago, these from AB were the only game in town (or maybe RN was out of stock). The nut is 13mm so the knurled end for the fingers looks to be bigger in dia than the end from RN. Easy to take on and off. As a design change, I'd recommend drilling a weep hole just prior to the threads. Water will find its way under the window top and collect into these nuts.

I'm not sure but I agree the AB option looks easier. I had those on my old 90 and liked them - just wasnt sure which was better. Has anyone tried both?
